If you work for one of our participating employers, you can borrow and save with us straight from your salary or wages.

Can I join a payroll scheme?

If your employer is listed below, you can become a member of South Yorkshire Community Bank, making it super easy to borrow and save with us as deductions are made from your wages before you receive them.

How does it work?

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Decide whether you’d like to save, borrow or both.
  2. Join as a member, letting us know who you work for and your payroll number. You’ll need £1 for your membership share.
  3. To borrow, simply apply for our exclusive Payroll Loan and receive preferential rates.
  4. To save, email us on payroll@sycb.co.uk to tell us how much you’d like to save.
  5. If you’d like both to save and borrow, we’ll split the amounts for you when we receive it.
  6. We’ll set up your deductions with your employer and you’ll see them on your payslip. Your employer may ask you to confirm your agreement to this.
