South Yorkshire Community Bank Annual Christmas Hamper Draw: Terms & Conditions

  1. The Promoter
    The promoter is Sheffield Credit Union t/a South Yorkshire Community Bank, authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the PRA under firm reference number 213679C. Registered office: 35 Townhead Street, Sheffield, S1 2EB  (the “Promoter”).
  2. Eligibility & Automatic Entry
    • 2.1. The prize draw is open strictly to active members of the Promoter who are aged 18 or over.
    • 2.2. Entry is completely automatic for any member who satisfies the account criteria set out in Clause 3. Members do not need to buy a ticket, pay a fee, or manually register to enter.
    • 2.3. Employees, board directors, and immediate family members of the Promoter are not eligible to win.
  3. Account & Savings Criteria
    • 3.1. To automatically qualify for the draw, a member must hold a minimum balance of £200 within their Christmas Saver account.
    • 3.2. The qualifying balance must be held in the account at precisely 23:59 on 31st October.
    • 3.3. Any account subject to a formal dispute, arrears, or internal fraud investigation on the Snapshot Date will be disqualified.
  4. The Prize
    • 4.1. The prize is a luxury Christmas Food and Drink Hamper, valued at approximately £100.
    • 4.2. Only one hamper(s) will be awarded in total across the membership network.
    • 4.3. The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and no cash alternative will be offered.
    • 4.4. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any items within the hamper with alternatives of equal or greater value if supply issues arise.
  5. Winner Selection and Notification
    • 5.1. The winner(s) will be selected at random via a secure, verified computer-generated process from all eligible accounts on 20th November 2026
    • 5.2. The winner will be notified by telephone, within 3 business days of the draw.
    • 5.3. Due to the perishable nature of a Christmas festive hamper, if the winner cannot be contacted or fails to respond within 14 days of notification, the Promoter reserves the right to forfeit the prize and select a runner-up.
    • 5.4. The prize must be collected in person from a South Yorkshire Community Bank branch, or delivery will only be fulfilled to a valid mainland Great Britain address on an agreed date before 18 December.
  6. Data Protection & Publicity
    • 6.1. Personal data will be handled securely in line with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy.
    • 6.2. With the winner’s explicit consent, the winner’s name and branch region may be shared in the credit union’s newsletter or on social media to satisfy the regulatory requirement of proving a fair draw.
  7. Regulatory Framework
    • 7.1. This promotion complies with the Gambling Act 2005 (as a free prize draw requiring no entry payment) and FCA financial promotion standards.
    • 7.2. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the local courts.
